Uniform Competition

The first whole school uniform competition was held on May 16th. Lowry House had the most forms with 100% correct uniform. Very well done to 7JH, 9MH and 10SW who were the forms that had 100% correct uniform.

Year 10 Reward Trip

The Year 10 Reward Trip to Alton Towers will take place on 12th July 2012.

Guide Dogs for the Blind

Lowry House have arranged for a Charity Non-Uniform Day on Friday 11th May 2012 and pupils who wish to take part must donate a minimum of £1.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Shoe Box Theatre Competition

Before Easter, Year 7 pupils had the opportunity to get creative with cardboard, glue and glitter to create a Shoebox Theatre as part of their work in Drama. Having read the play Room 13, based on the novel of the same name by Robert Swindells, the pupils used cardboard boxes and any other materials they could find to create their own mini theatre showing a scene from the play. The standard of the entries was amazing and Mr Curtis was given the difficult job of judging the results.
